If you've unintentionally violated any of these taboos, don't worry; we'll continue to provide remedies.
1. Placing Shoes at the Door
The entrance is where wealth enters, and piling too many shoes or using open shoe racks might block your wealth from coming in.
Remedy:
Use a shoe cabinet with doors at the entrance. You can also place a doormat and use indoor fragrances to avoid driving good luck away.
2. Main Door Directly Facing the Kitchen or Bathroom
In modern designs, the entrance often leads straight to the kitchen, dining area, or bathroom. This layout is considered unfavorable in Feng Shui.
Remedy:
If the main door directly faces the kitchen or bathroom, you can place a folding screen or a thin cabinet at the entrance to prevent direct alignment.
3. Bed Facing a Mirror
Avoid having the bed directly facing a mirror, as it's believed to affect the occupants' mental state and marital relationships.
Remedy:
Place the mirror or vanity table parallel to the bed. Just make sure there's no direct line of sight from the bed to the mirror.
4. Bed Directly Across from the Door
When the bed directly faces the bedroom door, it's believed to cause frequent nightmares and potential marital issues.
Remedy:
Avoid positioning the bed with your feet pointing directly at the bedroom door. It's best to have the bed in a parallel arrangement with the door.
5. Bed Close to the Kitchen or Bathroom
If the bedroom, especially the headboard, is separated from the kitchen or bathroom by only a wall, it can lead to restlessness, vivid dreams, and disrupted sleep due to noise.
Remedy:
Change the position of the bed or rearrange it to be as far away as possible from the kitchen and bathroom.
6. Bed with the Headboard Against a Window
Avoid placing the bed with the headboard against a window, as it can lead to disturbances like petty quarrels and financial losses. It may also affect sleep quality due to light and noise.
Remedy:
Reposition the bed away from the window or install curtains with high light-blocking capabilities.
